These effects were created for Mortal Kombat 1.


Some of the tasks I worked on for Mortal Kombat 1:

  • Creating animated blood meshes with VATs to be used with Houdini point caches
  • Building a library of static blood meshes for droplets and spray elements
  • Optimizing performance to achieve the highest quality for 60Hz playback
  • Art Directed Character FX
  • Directing particle motion/behavior from character/environment driven forces
  • Spline driven particle motion for character buff FX
  • Building library of pre-rendered content for fire/smoke/wisps
